Angad Hundal

(22nd Sept 1995-14 Aug 2013)

Angad Hundal was a kind and caring young man who left this world way too soon!

He was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India to his parents Simardeep and Jagdeep Singh Hundal. He received his early education, from pre-nursery to grade 6th, at Spring Dale School in Amritsar and moved to Canada in 2008, along with his parents who were aspiring to bring him up in a progressive, peaceful and developed society. He completed his grade 8 at Mentor College, Mississauga, before moving to Halifax in 2009 where his mom joined Dalhousie University Faculty of Dentistry. When Simardeep completed her DDS degree, Angad convinced his parents that Nova Scotia is a better place to live! He graduated from Halifax Grammar School in 2013 and was looking forward to joining Dalhousie University’s science program when on an unfortunate day in August of 2013; he lost his life in a motorbike accident.

Angad Hundal was a very poised, pure, polite, kind, caring and generous soul. He was a deep thinker, keen observer, analytical and constitutive in nature but also modest. He rarely expressed himself openly. He was a very loving son, a kind friend and a marvelous human being who strongly believed that every person has the right to live with respect and dignity irrespective of place of birth, socioeconomic status or education. He overcame his loneliness in early years in Canada by comforting others in the same boat. He sometimes expressed his disappointment in how our society is becoming more focused on materialistic success. He also felt that the moral, ethical and disciplined exterior is serving as a mask for self-serving favoritism and wanted to be a person true to himself.

Angad was too good for this world! He is missed.
